There are several apps that require a learning how to use them. Additionally there are apps designed for specific populations. This in-class assignment uses a jig-saw approach so that the entire class can learn more more in-depth details for these tools.
1. Crack the Books iBooks by Mobile Education - Andrea and Kelly
Crack the Books™ series of digital science books. These revolutionary books are the first that can be adjusted for reading level without sacrificing curriculum content. Targeting 3rd - 6th grade science and social studies concepts, our interactive digital books allow for reading level adjustment from 1st to 8th grade within the same book, making it possible for all students in a classroom to access the same curriculum content regardless of their reading ability.
Start by becoming familiar with just signing in and looking at the books.
Make a simple book and save to online library. Put it on the iPad using the book player MyOwnBooks2Go app.
Accessibility: If you are on a computer you can experiment with "space" and "return" to understand switch access and how that would relate to Dj switch interface and if fact will work with tablets that have a usb compatible with DJ or a Similar switch interface.
